I have always been a pessimist, already mourning for memories I have not yet experienced. I imagine how your rose perfume will one day become dizzying with ghosts of unfinished songs and poems, and even opening the windows will not get rid of heavy promises that hang in the air. I think for me grief works backward - I accept defeat before anything could start but live the rest of my life in denial, only bargaining when the end is in sight and not merely a delusion that gives myself an out when I still want to.

what is purpose, destiny, the prize at the end of the road we search our whole lives for a promise we are never told and if we make it and see the world for what it is there's still a chance that our fairy tale ending will be missed so how do we flourish how do we thrive despite uncertainty how do we cultivate our deepest wish how do we find our clarity we must keep going with no lies, no mimicry but instead with open eyes because only we have a way of knowing it is different for everyone because individuality means destiny for one so i know that even within the darkest hour one must face their self and the world without cower that is what i have had to do over and over, in a cycle of questions but as i stare at my reflection the person i know i am inside holds true

I don't know for how long, but I know that I need one because my anxiety has been through the roof and with school starting up again, it's only going to get worse. So I need to make adjustments, which is why this article is smaller than usual. I am very mentally drained. It may only be a few weeks or a few months. I will still be around, but I need to take a true break from all obligations on DA because the mental strain I'm under is taking too much out of me. :sleep:
